
For more than ten years he has inspired and coached hundreds of people in improving their fitness level as well as overall health.
The three fundamental parameters in which he focuses on during Personal Training and Fitness Consulting are: a) weight regulation, b) downsizing on risk factors for health maintenance (cholesterol, waist circumference, blood pressure, blood glucose), c) improvement of fitness levels in athletes (strength, explosiveness, agility, cardio respiratory endurance, flexibility, coordination)
His prime characteristics as a professional are his passion for what he does, his urge to help people improve their overall health and hence quality of life by awakening their power within, and a promise he has made to himself to be a lifetime student by keeping abreast with all current developments in his profession.
He has recently (August ’09) attended the World Convention in California/USA where he has had the opportunity to train with some of the Gurus in Fitness and Boot Camp training. He further went on to assemble the first groups on Boot camp training.
Since 2000 he has delivered an abundance of Seminars on Personal Training, aimed primarily at Fitness Professionals.
He is the founder and leader of the Body Design Training Council, the sole training team in Cyprus to prepare fitness Professionals to become certified Personal Trainers by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), which is under the umbrella of NCCA of the United States.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with specialization in Fitness, as well as of three (3) internationally recognized professional certifications:
a) Health and Fitness Specialist (ACSM), which enables him to design programs for people with controlled health problems such as obesity, high blood pressure, Type II diabetes, osteoporosis etc.
b) Certified Personal Trainer (American Council on Exercise), which specializes in overall personal training,
c) Certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant (American Council on Exercise) in which he specialized on the connection amongst exercise, nutrition, and psychology, in controlling/decreasing body weight.
He has written many articles in local newspapers and magazines, and he has been hosted in numerous well known talk shows on T.V
His primary objective is to continue to influence positively as many people as possible both Fitness Professionals as well as recreational fitness enthusiasts by coaching them as well as inspiring them in becoming the best they can be!
